I graduated from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2021, with a National Diploma in Human Resources Management. I was fortunate enough to enter into a work-based experience programme with ITvasrity. I got the chance to acquire a new set of skills, I possibly did not image I would gain proper knowledge and experience in.
My journey as being a Web Developer , I have also been recruited as a Success mentor from the Success Mentoring department, which forms a part of one of the support departments offered at ITvarsity. My Role as a Success Mentor is to manage, assist, and track the progress of 27 students with the Apptrepreneur course. I ensure that they are able to maintain their work and learning experience, also motivate students and give them courtesy for their good progress. I have learned how to code, creating apps and developing websites from scratch with the projects the course has to offer. I have been actively learning long-distance and working remotely for almost a year now, since 2021. I now have the ability to go out – into the world and share my skills with people that are not so familiarised with the wonderful features Technology has to offer. I started to love and enjoy working on these projects , it truly is amazing, a way of making learning and gaining knowledge at your convenience. I have received support from all the departments, to the CEO of ITvarsity, Bilal Kathrada. He offers us weekly Facebook live Wednesday webinars, rubbing his success and inspiration off on us, very motivational and inspirational.
